APPLETON, Wis.—The death certificate of 13-year-old Brianna Gussert only begins to explain the tragedy surrounding her cruel and unusual death. Greg Gussert, Brianna's father, said the death certificate lists her daughter's estimated date of death as May 24, 2017. It wouldn't be until five days later, on May 29, however, that Briann's death would be reported to local police.

The internet was buzzing last week after then-IHOP announced on Monday, June 4, that the restaurant would be making a dramatic change to their infamous brand by flipping the "p" in their logo to a "b."

MILLE LACS LAKE, Minn.—A 23-year-old Twin Cities man had the catch of his life Sunday, June 3, on Mille Lacs Lake in central Minnesota. Connor Lingwall, of Blaine, Minn., caught and released a 55-inch, 43-pound muskie while fishing Sunday afternoon, his father said in an interview with KSTP-TV.

NEW ROCKFORD, N.D. – A funeral has been scheduled in the central North Dakota town of New Rockford for the 7-year-old boy who died after being caught in the middle of a bitter custody battle between his former Playboy centerfold mother and his father. The funeral for Vincent Nicolai, 7, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 1, in the town about 60 miles north of Jamestown, according to an obituary listed in the Grand Forks Herald. A visitation will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Evans Funeral Home in New Rockford.
A lot of things can get lodged into the bumper of a vehicle while traveling down the highway, but no one could ever predict this. While a motorist was traveling down Interstate 5 in Washington state recently, a black handgun became lodged into the front bumper. According to a Facebook post from the Washington State Patrol: A driver said they saw a small "black object" flying through the air while traveling on I-5.
NEW YORK CITY - A former Playboy centerfold and her 7-year-old son are dead after jumping from the 25th floor of a Midtown hotel Friday morning, May 18. Stephanie Adams, 46, and her son Vincent were pronounced dead at the scene by authorities, according to the New York Daily News . Adams and her son were found on a roof next door to the Gotham Hotel after the apparent suicide leap, police said.
MOORHEAD — Holding back tears, 19-year-old Malachi Rohrer can't help but get emotional when thinking back to the accident that changed his life. "Explaining what happened doesn't hurt my feelings a lot, but when I slowly explain it and go through all the details in my head, that's when it really hits me," the Moorhead resident said. "Keeping it simple makes it easier to talk about." For Rohrer, that simplicity can be hard to find ever since an accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down, dashing his dreams of joining the U.S. Coast Guard as a helicopter pilot.
ANTIGO, Wis. - Raymond Jack “Ray” Szmanda, known by many Midwesterners as “the Menards guy,” has died, according to his family. He was 91. Charles Szmanda, son of Ray, confirmed his father’s death in a Facebook post Sunday, May 6. Szmanda was the Menards spokesperson for over two decades, and was the star of countless television and radio commercials.
